Point-to-point & point-to-multipoint
A point-to-point link connects two locations. A point-to-multipoint system connects a central location to several others. We assess distances, line of sight and capacity to recommend a practical layout for your property.

PLANNING YOUR INSTALLATION
What a useful survey should cover.
A link between two buildings
Point-to-point connects one location to another. It may be considered for taking a network connection from a house or office to a workshop, barn or camera location.
One central connection, several locations
Point-to-multipoint connects a central location to multiple locations. Suitability depends on the layout and the demands of each connection, rather than simply the number of buildings.
Survey the route as well as the distance
Trees, structures and terrain may affect a wireless path. Mounting positions, usable line of sight and the required capacity are considered before a link is proposed.

YOUR QUESTIONS
Before you get started.
Can a wireless link carry CCTV traffic?
It can be designed for cameras as part of a network. The number of cameras, their settings and other network use help determine the capacity required.
How far can you connect buildings?
There is no single distance we can promise without assessing the site. Equipment, mounting, obstructions and the capacity you need all affect the design.
Is a wireless link the same as improving Wi-Fi?
A building-to-building link carries a connection between locations. Access points may then be needed to provide Wi-Fi for devices inside or around those buildings.
