Wi-Fi networks
Thick walls, large buildings and long distances can make rural Wi-Fi frustrating. We assess coverage and connections, then recommend access points and a layout that suits the site.

PLANNING YOUR INSTALLATION
What a useful survey should cover.
Coverage and internet speed are different
Wi-Fi carries the connection around your property. It cannot make the incoming internet service faster than the service provides. We look at both the incoming connection and coverage problems.
Work around the way your buildings are built
Thick walls, metal cladding and building layout can affect coverage. Access point placement and the connection to each access point should reflect those conditions.
Connect the outbuilding before adding Wi-Fi
A workshop or barn may first need a wired or wireless connection back to the network. We consider that connection together with the local Wi-Fi coverage you need.
YOUR QUESTIONS
Before you get started.
Can you improve Wi-Fi in a barn or workshop?
We can assess both a connection to the building and coverage within it. Distance, construction, power and network demand influence the proposed design.
Will adding access points fix slow broadband?
Access points can improve local coverage but do not increase the speed of the incoming broadband service. We discuss where the bottleneck appears to be before recommending equipment.
Can a network cover my house and office?
Both can be included in a site plan. Tell us about the buildings, current connections and the places where coverage is unreliable.
