PLANNING YOUR INSTALLATION

What a useful survey should cover.

Plan the devices and locations first

Cameras, access points, office equipment and recording devices all place requirements on a network. We map the connection needs before considering equipment positions and cable routes.

A practical route between buildings

Site conditions influence the options for a connection. We consider cable routing and wireless alternatives alongside the access and installation work a proposed route would require.

Leave room for the next stage

If you expect to add cameras, expand an office or bring another building onto the network, mention it at the start. Future requirements can then be considered in the design.

YOUR QUESTIONS

Before you get started.

Can one network support CCTV and Wi-Fi?

Yes, these can be planned within the same overall network. The equipment and capacity need to suit both uses and the layout of your site.

Do all buildings need cables between them?

Not necessarily. A wireless link may be appropriate where the site supports it. We assess routes and requirements before recommending wired or wireless connections.

What information helps with a quote?

Share your postcode, the buildings you want to connect, the devices you use and any existing cabling or network equipment. Photos or a simple site plan can help explain the layout.
